The showreel presents a short compilation of our productions – ranging from short commercials to animated films for cinema and television. We primarily work with hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation, as well as hybrid forms incorporating 2D computer animation, because we love the aesthetic of handcrafted visuals and the flexibility and freedom of drawing.

Droughts, floods, and extreme weather force people to flee – the causes are complex and deeply interconnected. Our animated explainer video illustrates how climate change, inequality, and politics interact. A comic-style film for a young audience that informs and inspires action.

Our newest animated short tells a wonderful story about individuality, fantasy, the fleeting nature of ownership – and the treasure of treasures. Seven characters stumble upon an intriguing box over the course of seven consecutive weekdays, and each character creates something completely their own.

For the KINOLINO Film Festival for Young Audiences, we had the opportunity to animate the trailer for its 30th anniversary. Fast-paced we’re kicked out of bed and taken across the city, right into the cinema seats. With a lot of momentum and creative transitions, we captured the feeling of a thrilling movie experience.

For the documentary project “The Day Christy Died,” we contributed several minutes of animation. The experiences of the protagonist Christy while in a coma could be sensitively and poetically translated into images and presented in a visual language that enriches the film’s content.

This time, the Arte editorial team commissioned us to create the fascinating origin story of the “Ampelmännchen (the East German traffic light man)”. The animation takes us on a journey of discovery from the past to the present while combining historical elements with a modern illustration style.

For the KINOLINO Film Festival for Young Audiences, we had the pleasure of creating a vibrant animated festival trailer once again. With original character design, plenty of speed, and playful lightness, we bring the festival atmosphere directly to the screen – true to the motto “Wild by nature.”

For the competition “Auf die Plätze! Citizen Science in deiner Stadt” by Wissenschaft im Dialog and the Museum of Natural History in Berlin, we created the animated competition announcement. The concept combined clear information, an original design, and dynamic 2D animation.

For the AETAS Kinderstiftung München, we have had the privilege of realizing a series of cartoons that deal with the subject of traumatization of children and young people. The main character of these films is the “Seefahrerkind”, which was designed by the famous children’s book illustrator SaBine Büchner.

We were allowed to create a series of animated clips for the Akademie für Lerncoaching in Zurich. For the video series “12 Impulses for Teachers” the educators ask the question “What is your vision of a good school and good teaching?”

A mouse, an elephant, a cat, a bear, and two bees accompany us through this energetic festival trailer. The KINOLINO Film Festival for Young Audiences in Dresden attracts thousands of visitors to cinemas and other venues each year to celebrate the diversity of children’s and youth films.

“META” is a short animated film that takes up topics such as change, transience, cycle, connection, interaction in a playful and experimental way. Partly funny, partly poetic, who’s aim it is to show that everything consists of many parts and that in the end all is connected with each other.

This promotional film illustrates the areas of activity of the Jiyan Foundation for Human Rights in the Kurdish regions of Syria and northern Iraq. Jiyan provides support to victims of human rights violations through medical-therapeutic assistance and training programs, among other initiatives.

This promotional film showcases how the “Servicestelle Schülerfirmen” advises and supports young entrepreneurs. Students gain their first experience in a business environment, collecting insights and learning how to successfully launch their own offerings.

The Arte editorial team commissioned us to describe the orange-colored summer drink that has been popular in Europe for exactly 100 years. This animated explainer video follows a French woman, a Berlin hipster, a Venetian gondolier, and Austrian soldiers back to the beginnings of this vibrant beverage.

Percy Cat is excited for a relaxing day in CAT LAKE CITY—a paradise for cats on holiday. However, the spot on the beach towel turns out to be less safe than he expected, thanks to stubborn beach neighbors, and ultimately, even inflatable flamingos prove to be tricky to handle…

This episode of Arte Karambolage explores a garment that is widely used in Germany but remains largely unknown in France. Through the perspective of a French mother, it highlights the advantages of this practical, albeit not particularly stylish, piece of clothing.

We had the honor of animating the festival trailer for the 30th anniversary of the renowned Filmfestival Dresden in 2018. Quirky, transforming characters and vibrant music captivated the international audience. The festival attracts over 20,000 visitors each year.

In this film about a lost shirt button, wonderfully humorous elements and subtle observations come together to create a deeply felt narrative. Alongside the beautifully drawn characters and the whimsical humor of the story, there is the delightfully eccentric British accent of the narrator, Alexis Krüger.

“PAWO” has been screened at over 200 international film festivals, received numerous awards and is still traveling around the world. It has been shown not only at film festivals, but also on television, at open air events, as part of educational programs, and sometimes even in hospitals.

Everything is changing, always moving and can change from one second to another. This imaginative animated film showcases the power of creativity and illusion at a dizzying pace—like an animated stream of consciousness flowing on a whiteboard using stop-motion technique.
